In this COVID-19 time our face to face May meeting is postponed, but we urgently request your updates in writing.
What we need: For those organizations who orally report at meetings please write up your current information and send it to: rdietrich@mnmilitarymuseum.org
For organizations often in direct contact with individuals and their families – such as CVSOs, legislative staff, vet centers, VA counselors and medical people, Legion, VFW, DAV, MN VA, et all – we need to know what you see, and if and how situations are worsening (or improving).
If isolation, loneliness, or being stranded are reported, we must know that so that we can respond and connect in: “radio checks”, buddy systems, online get to gathers.
If hunger is likely, then our organizations can do alerts and buddy system deliveries.
If anyone has suggestions or examples about how to be helpful, we want that, too. If posts have outreach efforts, let us know. If CVSOs have volunteer buddy telephone callers, describe how that works.
When we track this information, we can get results. We veterans, those currently serving, and our families add up to about a million Minnesotans, and the Governor needs this update.
